  • ONE ON ONE

This one on one training can be offered in home or at a secure location. Dogs who develop challenges for their owners at home will succeed in training better if we address the challenges where they begin. Many times owners face problems handling their dogs with specific things such as crate training, food and resource aggression, dominance towards children or other animals in the home, perhaps jumping on off limit furniture, or any other challenge in day to day life. With one on one training we can help change your dogs way of thinking and reacting towards this challenge.

  • RESCUE REMEDY

Adopting dogs from shelters or rescues is getting more and more popular. However many times these dogs are being adopted after months or years living in and surviving in less fortunate ways. These dogs come from neglect, abuse, re-homing, getting lost, being surrendered, or having the wrong genetic makeup, making them too big, too fluffy, too slobbery, too high energy…

What ever the case may be these dogs need a little extra love and a lot more training to be a successful member of your family. It may take a minimum of 3 months for your new dog to feel safe enough in your new home to begin to shed out of their thick survival fur. And once this happens they may display behavior you find hard to control or fix. For new owners of these dogs do not expect miracles in the first week. Sleeping on a cement floor to sleeping in a bed is a big change, let's give these dogs a big break!

  • BEHAVIORAL TRANSFORMATION

There comes a time in a pet owners life when someone else sees an action your dog does and tells you it's a behavioral thing and your dog needs training. The action being committed on is mainly negative or something disliked by another person. The action your dog displays could include aggression, dog reactivity, human reactivity, barking too much, having too much energy, or anything else portrayed as unusual. Each of these things are behaviors dogs show but they aren't necessary a problem behavior. For example having a large breed dog like a great Dane, most owners of these dogs know they will be leaned on at times by their dog. But a person who owns a Chihuahua may not like the leaning and therefore thinks your dog has a behavioral problem and it needs to be fixed. Great Danes tend to lean more than other dog breeds and if you're not ready for it they can knock you over, but there are ways to stop the behavior if it does become a problem.

The biggest concern here is to determine if your dog actually has an underlying medical condition that needs to be treated. If all necessary tests have been done to rule out the medial then we can focus on changing your dogs behavior to suit you and your dogs needs.

  • PEER TRAINING

This service can explain a few different kinds of training. New dog owners find it important to socialize their puppy to every single dog they see. Socializing is important but it just be done correctly. The last thing you want is to end up with a traumatic experience for your puppy or dog. Puppies need puppy play on their own terms. Forcing a puppy into playing with an adult dog for a few minutes on a walk is not going to do them any good if they feel scared and don't want to do it. Asking an adult dog to play with every single dog it meets is not correct socializing either.

Scheduling a meet and greet play with one puppy at a time in a controlled manner will actually encourage curiosity and interaction more positively between the two. A controlled manner would under supervision of both owners, no outside distractions like other dogs or people, and when it's not forced. Let your puppy decide when they went to greet and interact. Socializing is not just playing well with other dogs and people, it's also about behaving well around other dogs and people even if no physical touch has occurred.
